Required Qualifications: Ph.D in Psychology or related field by time of appointment.
Preferred Qualifications: The Department of Psychology at Stony Brook University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in clinical psychology. Candidates in all areas of clinical psychology will be considered. Preference will be given to applicants who have a record of first-rate research, evidence of or potential for funding, and will be able to teach and mentor students at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, including supervising graduate students in clinical practica at the department’s training clinic. We will also consider how applicants’ work complements existing strengths in the clinical program and other areas of the department.

Special Notes: This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: 09/01/2018.
The Psychology Department at Stony Brook University encompasses doctoral programs in Clinical Psychology, Cognitive Science, Integrative Neuroscience, and Social and Health Psychology. Faculty members in the area and department are highly collaborative, and we have a history of productive collaborations with numerous other departments on campus.
