Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. A minimum of two years full time professional, post-Bachelor's work experience, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, excellent verbal, written and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree. Work experience with confidential records; work experience in a healthcare, mental health, or university setting and with diverse populations. Experience with the management of daily operations at a professional and/or medical office; proficiency with electronic medical records database systems.

Brief Description of Duties: The incumbent is responsible for managing and coordinating all front desk functions and be the initial/early screening point of contact with Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). H/she will manage several administrative functions for the Assistant Director of Clinical Assessment, Emergency Services, and Case Management and for the Triage Department. Responsibilities include management of confidential medical records.
  • Manage day-to-day operations ensuring prompt appropriate response at front desk that is appropriate to the nature of the situation. Obtain demographic and non-clinical information from students/faculty/parents for 25 clinicians.
  • The incumbent is the initial/early screening point of contact, which includes assessing the mental state of each individual making contact with CAPS by phone or in person in order to prioritize the order in which each service request should be addressed and by whom among the senior staff.
  • Assist Assistant Director for Clinical Assessment & Emergency Services and the Triage Department in the administration of triage/intake/emergency clinical services and records protocol.
  • Manage confidential medical records.
  • Monitor compliance with accreditation and NY/HIPAA regulations regarding privacy/security of patient information.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Special Notes: This is a full time appointment, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Occasional evenings, nights and/or weekends may be required. **Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
