Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in Chemistry/Radiochemistry, or Chemical Engineering. Five years of directly related experience in producing radio tracers for human use, using good manufacturing practices or 'near' GMP. Three of the five years must be Postdoctoral experience. Produced at least five different radiotracers for human use including [C-11] and [F-18] labeled tracers.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with building a GMP production facility and in automated production.
Brief Description of Duties: The Senior Research Scientist will play a lead role in designing and producing different radiotracers for human use, including labeled tracers, and the development of standard operating procedures for tracer production and maintenance of the Radiochemistry Laboratory.
Special Notes: This is a full time position. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
