Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Two years of full time administrative/clerical experience in a medical setting.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's Degree. Knowledge of medical terminology and IDX Scheduling System.
Brief Description of Duties: The Clerk acts as a front desk receptionist, greeting and checking in patients, and scheduling patients for office visits.
Other Duties: As assigned.
Special Notes: This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA non-exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. *This position is located at Tech Park in East Setauket, New York.
Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements: Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook University's Employee Health Services (The hiring department will responsible for any fee incurred for examination), submit (3) written references, and provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
