Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to plan and prioritize work. Exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with a strong attention to detail. Experience with strategic resourcing. Project Management experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree. Purchasing experience at a public institution. Purchasing experience at a University or college. Experience with MWBE requirements.
Brief Description of Duties: The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the management of the buying staff which includes but is not limited to Purchasing Agents, Assistant Purchasing Agents, Purchasing Clerks, Clerical Specialists, etc. The selected candidate will:
Special Notes: This is a full time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Occasional travel to satellite campuses may be required.
