Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Three years of progressively responsible administrative experience. Strong written, verbal, and organizational skills. Computer proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a healthcare setting and academic institution with budget and finance experience. Experience working with grant submissions and processing.
Brief Description of Duties: The Administrative Assistants will provide administrative support to the Department of Pathology. The incumbents will provide clerical support in the Chairman's office to include greeting, screen and triage phone calls, and filing and assisting with cross coverage for administrative staff. The selected candidates will coordinate all clerical aspects of research activities for the department administrator. The successful candidates will effectively interface with physicians, patients and administrative personnel. The Administrative Assistants will maintain copy materials, fax and prepare overnight mail as requested. Handle multiple tasks simultaneously; prioritize work to be completed.
Other Duties: As assigned.
Special Notes: These are part time positions, 18.75 hours per week. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
