Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Two years of full time customer service required with at least one of those years in medical billing. Experience with heavy telephone interaction and strong interpersonal skills. Computer literate with knowledge of medical insurance policies, reimbursement and medical terminology.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with insurance websites and telephone headset.
Brief Description of Duties: This individual will be assigned to audit insurance accounts for all billing areas serviced through the Clinical Practice Management Plan. The incumbent will have knowledge of the entire billing cycle. Specific tasks for which the individual will be either directly or indirectly responsible are:

Special Notes: This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. *This position is located at Tech Park, East Setauket.
