Brief Description of Duties: The Postdoctoral Associate will be responsible for the following:
  • Conduct research in the field of the Postdoctoral Associate's choice in Theoretical Physics, including elementary particle physics, gauge field theory, statistical mechanics, supergravity, supersymmetry, supersymmetry, superstring theory or related subjects.
  • Collaborate with senior or members of the YITP working in the same field as well as with other educational institutes.
  • May present seminars based on the Postdoctoral Associate's work during academic year. Occasional travel to present research results or collaborate on Institute-sponsored research.

Special Notes: This is a full time position. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
