Required Qualifications: MD. Board Eligible/Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry. New York State licensure/eligibility. Ability to provide cross-coverage, including some evening, night, and weekend shifts.
Preferred Qualifications: Clinical experience in a Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program or other emergency psychiatric setting. Track record of research/teaching experience in Emergency Psychiatry.
Responsibilities & Requirements: Clinician will be needed to serve as an Attending Psychiatrist in our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program. Shifts will total 40 hours per week with cross coverage as necessary. Position is responsible for psychiatric evaluations and management of patients in CPEP/ED of University Hospital. Candidate will teach and supervise medical students and residents.
Special Notes: This is a non-tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible. To qualify for tenure and/or a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine (School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure ).
