THIS POSTING IS NOT CURRENT !!!Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering (BME) or related field. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, must have at least 10 years of related experience. Minimum five years experience in a BME Service Management/Supervisory role overseeing all aspects of BME including, but not limited to, troubleshooting, repairs, calibrations, preventive maintenance, equipment/service database management, and employee mentoring. Excellent managerial, communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree. Minimum ten year's experience in a BME Service Management/Supervisory role. Experience in a hospital/academic medical center. AAMI and CBET certifications.
Brief Description of Duties:
Special Notes: Shift: Full time day position 830am-5pm. Please note Stony Brook Medicine is a smoke free environment. All hospital positions are subject to changes in pass days and shifts as necessary. This position may require the wearing of respiratory protection which may prohibit the wearing of facial hair.
