Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent formal education with strong literacy, numeracy and computer proficiency. Four years of progressively responsible, full time administrative experience. Experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, and PowerPoint. Ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communications, organization, and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Experience in a medical center environment. Knowledge of WolfMart and QuickBooks.

Brief Description of Duties: The Administrative Assistant provides administrative support to the Associate Dean in the Office of Scientific Affairs, School of Medicine.
  • Assist with budgets and grants by preparing invoices and activities related to reconciling the budget. Prepare Change Forms for Labor Distributions.
  • Proofread IRB protocols, perform special projects.
  • Manage Online calendar.
  • Maintain filing system, answer phone/route calls to appropriate party.
  • Arrange all aspects of travel for the Associate Dean.
  • Organize and prepare for meetings.
  • Edit all correspondence from Associate Dean.
  • Manage registrations, licensures.

Special Notes: This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
