Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Two years of full time experience in a work related position involving customer service. Working knowledge of various software applications.
Preferred Qualifications: Medical office experience. Working knowledge of the Stony Brook University Medical Center's computer applications including IDX, Citrix, Telop. Bilingual Spanish. Call Center experience.

Brief Description of Duties: The selected candidates will be responsible for the following duties:
  • Answer telephones in the Department call center.
  • Schedule patient appointments using IDX
  • Take detailed messages from callers and enter into electronic messaging system

Other Duties:

Special Notes: This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA non-exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
