Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. One year of full time clerical ophthalmology experience in ophthalmology or optometry medical practice. Proficient typing skills and computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft, Medflow EMR, IDX experience, Bilingual/Spanish.

Brief Description of Duties: Front Desk Support. Incumbent must be able to lift charts ( 40 lbs) on a consistent basis.
  • Answer phones, take messages, book patient appointments, obtaining insurance authorizations, patient contact, front desk check in and check out
  • Filing and chart preparation, copying, key data entry

Special Notes: This is a full-time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA non-exempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
