Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED. Two years full time recent experience in a medical office including insurance referrals, insurance carrier web portals and medical record activities.
Preferred Qualifications: Well versed in web-based IDX (GE). Recent experience handling private health information specifically in a Dermatology practice. Technically skilled in Microsoft Word and Outlook email.
Brief Description of Duties: The Clerk II will be responsible for chart preparation for office hours including test results and referrals/authorizations. Chart maintenance, copying and other associated administrative responsibilities as assigned. This position is central to the efficient flow of patient information and patient care.
Other Duties: Other associated administrative responsibilities as assigned.
Special Notes: This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
