THIS POSTING IS NOT CURRENT !!!Required Qualifications: Associates Degree plus two years experience in a hospital billing office or in lieu of degree, five years experience in a hospital billing office. User end knowledge of computer Software packages, i.e., database packages, spreadsheets and word processing applications. Excellent oral, written and highly developed interpersonal interaction communication skills are essential.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree in Accounting, an in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products, i.e. Word, Excel and Access. Experience in cash posting and deposits within a billing office, knowledge of Siemens Systems and Hospital Cashier experience.

Special Notes: Shift: Full-time day 830am-430pm. All Hospital positions are subject to changes in pass days and shifts as necessary. This position may require the wearing of respiratory protection which may prohibit the wearing of facial hair. Please note Stony Brook University Medical Center is a smoke free environment.
