THIS POSTING IS NOT CURRENT !!!Required Qualifications: Associate's degree. In lieu of the degree, two years of directly related full time experience or a combination of higher education and experience totaling two years may be considered. Experience in a professional video production environment. Knowledge of studio and field cameras and video editing.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree in a related field, BA/BS, Bachelors degree in a related field. Two years of full time experience in professional television and/or theater. A demo reel demonstrating ability.
Brief Description of Duties: The Production Assistant will serve on the production team providing technical support requiring technical skills, creativity, and the ability to carry out assigned tasks in a live production environment. These positions are hourly positions limited by project assignment.
Special Notes: These are temporary, hourly positions, days and hours vary. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Night and weekend work is required. Some travel will be required to Stony Brook Manhattan, Southampton or other Long Island sites.
