Required Qualifications: AAS degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field) or credit equivalent (60 credits), or completion of an early childhood accredited course from an institution of higher education may be considered. In lieu of degree, two years of full time professional experience in the field of Early Childhood. One year of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in full day, early childhood/child care setting.
Brief Description of Duties: This is an early childhood team teaching position based in a preschool multi-age grouping at Stony Brook Child Care Services, Inc (SBCCSI). The goal is to provide high quality care and education to children ranging in age from three to five years. Additionally, the Center is a practicum site for undergraduate interns who will be supervised and mentored by this staff person.
Special Notes: This is a full time position, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, hours vary. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
