THIS POSTING IS NOT CURRENT !!! Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Linguistics to be completed by September 2010. Active research program in Language Acquisition or closely related field. Evidence of the ability to teach a range of courses in Language Acquisition, especially Second Language Acquisition, at the graduate and undergraduate levels. Preferred Qualifications: Strong publication record in Language Acquisition or other areas of linguistics. Active research interests in fields complementary to Department's strengths in linguistic theory. Ability to teach courses in Bilingualism and a range of undergraduate courses in Linguistics. Linguistic teaching experience on the undergraduate and graduate levels. Ability to supervise undergraduate and graduate experimental or computational research projects in Linguistics. Potential to obtain external funding for research in the field. Responsibilities & Requirements: Conduct and maintain an active research program and teach courses in Sociolinguistics, related areas and general Linguistics.
