THIS POSTING IS NOT CURRENT !!! Required Qualifications: Associate's degree in Biology or closely related field. Two years full time laboratory experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Biology or closely related field. Experience with DNA cloning and cell culture techniques. Brief Description of Duties: The incumbent will perform basic research on viruses and virus vaccines as directed by a supervising scientist. This job will involve a range of molecular, genetic and biochemical techniques. The incumbent will be trained as needed in the procedures and use of equipment; prior experience is critical. H/she will present research results. A willingness to work with small animals and infectious agents is expected.
Other Duties: Special Notes: This is a full time position, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
