Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree. Full time experience in data management or other relevant experience in research environment. Background in computerized data collection, data processing, and data management
Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree.

Brief Description of Duties: The Research Support Specialist will assist in data management activities for Coordinating Center operations. These activities include receiving and reviewing forms, preparing of forms for data entry, performing data entry, preparing and sending edit statements and assisting in preparing materials for study meetings. Must have excellent communication and writing skills and demonstrate strong organizational skills.
  • Assist in data management activities. Incumbent will provide data log in, input and generation of edit reports.
  • Review study forms for content, completeness and accuracy; make appropriate notations when necessary and prepare code forms for data entry.
  • Implement, provide and update written documentation for procedures to organize, manage and file data.
  • Generate and follow protocols for use of data management software to track data flow and collect administrative data, suggest modifications, where necessary.
  • Generate data monitoring reports.
  • Modify data collection forms in collaboration with study team members, as needed.
  • Conduct written and verbal inquiries related to assigned functions.
  • Assist in coordination of the distribution of supplies to clinical centers.

Special Notes: This is a part-time position, 25 hours per week, days and hours vary. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. FLSA Nonexempt position, eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
