Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physics, or Materials Science and Engineering. Strong physical and chemical science background. Good data and analysis abilities. Good math/computation skills.
Preferred Qualifications: Neutron, synchroton x-ray techniques or ion beam techniques with a strong electrochemical science background.
Brief Description of Duties: A joint project between Binghamton University, Rutgers University and Stony Brook on experimental neutron measurements of batteries and battery materials. The Postdoctoral Associate will be based at the National Institute of Standards and Technology in Maryland. Duties include:
Special Notes: This is a full time position. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Travel will be required to Binghamton and Rutgers to carry out battery research and collaborating events.
