Required Qualifications: Ph.D. or foreign equivalent in theoretical nuclear or high-energy physics.
Preferred Qualifications:

Brief Description of Duties: The incumbent will be responsible for research in Theoretical Nuclear Physics (Edward Shuryak, Physics & Astronomy) and will include research in the areas of non-perturbative QCD, in heavy icon collisions, many-body physics and related areas:
  • Research on properties of matter produced in high-energy heavy ion collisions.
  • General studies of finite temperature QDC.
  • Prepare papers for publication.
  • Present results at scientific meetings.

Special Notes: This is a full time position. The Research Foundation of SUNY is a private educational corporation. Employment is subject to the Research Foundation policies and procedures, sponsor guidelines and the availability of funding. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
