SOLAR ID is used to access and update records specific to personal information and to maintain NetID security.Other examples of uses for SOLAR: Students register for classes, pay bills, etc. Employees update addresses, review paycheck information, vacation and sick time accruals, access class rosters, submit grades, etc.

NetID provides access to specific University services including SINC Site machines and printing, MySBfiles, Blackboard, ResNet, library databases, sunysb.edu administrative shares, dial-in services and Work at Home (WAH).
