University Advancement is responsible for Stony Brook's annual fund raising efforts, and for the University's first comprehensive campaign. Faculty, staff, alumni, friends, corporations and foundations are invited to support the campus development. Gifts of cash, securities, real and personal property as well as deferred gifts including bequests, life insurance, and life income agreements are secured by University Advancement and managed through the Stony Brook Foundation Business Office.
The P.A.W.S. Club (Providing Atheletes With Scholarships) provides scholarships for men and women who represent Stony Brook University both academically and athletically. The fundraising campaign generates financial support for the general scholarship fund for the Division of Physical Education and Athletics at Stony Brook University.
