Mission

We seek to improve the quality of life for people with autism and their families as well as reducing the incidence of problem behaviors that impede successful integration into the community.  These goals are addressed in a number of ways:
  • Through a 33-year program of research in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and the new approach of positive behavior support (PBS).
  • Through dissemination of information on state-of-the-art best practices as well as cutting edge research.
  • Through workshops for parents and other family members as well as inservice training for teachers and other professionals.
  • Through referrals to professionals who have extensive formal training in applied behavior analysis and positive behavior support as well as documented success in applying these approaches that meets standards set by recognized peer reviewers and national accreditation organizations.
