COMMUNITY MUSIC PROGRAMS FOR ADULTS

CHAMBER MUSIC ENSEMBLES

Participants enjoy weekly chamber music coachings, masterclasses, concerts and performance opportunities. The workshops are eight weeks in length and include at least five flexible coaching sessions with an experienced chamber music coach. Groups for strings, woodwinds, brass, piano, and voice will be formed based on ability and repertoire, and pre-existing groups are also welcome. Previous musical experience required, but professionals, amateurs and enthusiasts are all welcome.

Ensembles:

First time participants play a brief placement audition.  Groups are formed from within the collective of musicians based on level of experience and instrumentation.

Meeting times:

Each ensemble determines the meeting time and place based on the schedules of the performers.  Ensembles rehearse a minimum of five sessions with a professional chamber coaches.  Additional rehearsals can be scheduled at the discretion of the coach and/or performers.

Concert:

Each semester concludes with a concert in the Recital Hall of the Staller Center for the Arts.
