3. Presidential Mini-Grants, President's Awards Programs -- Applications and Nominations Suspended for 2003-2004 Academic Year

In consideration of budget cuts levied in fiscal '02-'03, and in anticipation of possible cuts to come in fiscal '03-'04, the nomination and application processes for the Presidential Mini-Grant Programs for Departmental Diversity Initiatives and Innovative Teaching Projects, and the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Team Leadership, Diversity and Affirmative Action, and Classified Service are suspended for academic year '03-'04. It is hoped that these programs can be resumed, pending an improved budget outlook, for fiscal '04-'05.
However, all SUNY-based Chancellor's/President's Awards' application processes and the awarding of the Distinguished Professor titles will be continued for fiscal '03-'04, subject to SUNY approval.

Faculty/staff members seeking to collaborate with students on Diversity-related themes may inquire with the Office for Diversity and Affirmative Action (ex. 2-6280) regarding opportunities in the "Dialogues Across Differences" mini-grant competition for '03-'04.

For the current phase of studies, we are seeking healthy individuals with no previous history of head or spinal trauma, arachnoid or spinal cysts, hydrocephalus, brain tumors or any contraindication for an MRI exam. The study will involve 1 hour of your time and be completely non-invasive. No injections will be given. There will be no monetary compensation for this study.
