01. Administrative (dept moves/closes¸ employee info¸ Admin announcements)

1. Campus Food Policy Update - Local Hospitality Rates

The Procurement Office has updated its food policy to reflect changes in vendor payments/employee reimbursements.
The Procurement Office will not issue vendor payments/employee reimbursements (drawn against DIFR, IFR, State, or State Special Appropriation Accounts) for food and beverages for members of the university faculty/staff when they are engaged in routine university business during normal business hours (i.e. faculty/staff meetings or departmental working lunches). The sole exception is when invited guests (other than university faculty/staff) are present and the meeting is clearly for business purposes.
Vendor payments/employee reimbursements for local hospitality expenses will be made in accordance with the local state per-diem rate of $8.00 for breakfast and $34.00 for dinner. Lunch expenses will be paid or reimbursed at a local rate of $25.00 (per person). Any expenses exceeding the allowable rates will be considered personal out-of-pocket expenses. These rates are all-inclusive of meal charges and gratuity charges/tips.

2. The Administrataive Review Committee of the University Senate is conducting a survey among the faculty and professional staff.

The University Senate is conducting a survey among the faculty and professional staff in order to determine priority concerns for the University. Similar surveys have been conducted periodically, most recently in 1997, and are valuable in determining changes in campus attitudes and perceptions. All responses are non-attributable, and are only summarized at the highest organizational level (e.g., College).
This year, the survey is available only on-line.
Please take the time to respond. The survey should take only about 15-20 minutes to complete, and a high response rate will make the results more meaningful.
