12. HSC Library OVID Subscriptions

Beginning on July 15, 2002, the HSC Library will no longer be maintaining a local installation of OVID Databases. The Library will still provide access to OVID titles via the free trial access available until July 31. The permanent subscriptions and access to OVID resources are yet to be determined. As a result of these changes, some of the functions and interfaces to OVID resources will change.
Since the available functionality and options are currently uncertain and dependent upon future decisions, the Library recommends that any of your valuable saved searches from our locally maintained OVID subscriptions be transfered prior to July 15. The optimum way to do this is by displaying your individual OVID saved searches, printing or saving the text, and then re-entering them as Cubbies in PubMed. Additional notices will be posted as more information becomes available. For further assistance, contact hdhsclib@notes.cc.sunysb.edu.
