Please share this notice with your department - The Health Options Program, which would have allowed CSEA and PEF employees to exchange 3 sick days for a credit to be applied towards the biweekly health insurance premium, was not renewed for the calendar year 2003. This means that PEF and CSEA employees will not be able to exchange 3 sick days for a credit to be applied towards their biweekly health insurance premium for the calendar year 2003,

At this time, there is no word as to whether or not this program will be offered in the future.

2. Notice to CSEA employees enrolled in the New York State Health Insurance Program regarding Health Insurance Rates.

CSEA employees enrolled in the New York State Health Insurance Program will notice a significant change in the biweekly premium amount for the year 2003. The significant increase in the biweekly health insurance premium amount is due to the fact that CSEA employees will have to share in the cost of the prescription drug coverage that is part of the health insurance coverage. For more information you may visit the website www.cseainc.org or contact CSEA at 1-800-286-5242.
