1. Fellowship in Medical Education
We are pleased to offer again a Fellowship program tailored to medical educators. The program provides quality education to meet the healthcare professionals’ lifelong learning educational needs. The 15-month program’s curriculum focuses on three themes: curriculum and instruction, educational measurement and research and educational leadership. The program is comprised of required sessions, individual studies in curriculum and instruction, and a research project.
Upon completion of the program a stipend will be offered to each faculty fellow from the Dean. CME credits are also available for those who complete the program.

1. Incorporating HIV screening, Acute HIV Infection diagnostics and post-exposure prophylaxis into routine care.
On Friday, June 5th, the New York State AIDS Institute’s Center will hold a free CME conference on incorporating HIV screening, Acute HIV Infection diagnostics and post-exposure prophylaxis into routine care. This conference is targeted toward medical providers in emergency departments, clinics, hospitals, private practice and administrators responsible for HIV screening and diagnostics at their facility. We will provide four category one CME credits. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Petit, the Director of Alcatel Lucent Technical Academy, a program designed to recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions to Alcatel-Lucent technological leadership and who volunteer to act as a think tank to come up with proposals to improve the R&D effectiveness in domains such as innovation, knowledge sharing and networking. Guido is also secretary (and active member) of the Innovation Board at Alcatel-Lucent in Belgium and is a member of the project team responsible for the organization of Entrepreneurial Boot Camps.

2. Wellness Center Summer Specials - Discounted Membership Packages
Are you trying to get in shape but not looking to pay those huge membership fees? If this sounds like you then I invite you to join the Wellness Center for the summer. The Wellness Center is conveniently located on the third floor of the Student Activities Center. We are currently offering two summer specials to faculty & staff. 3. Stony Brook University Girls Basketball Camp!!
Stony brook universty girls basketball camp!
This camp offers the opportunity to grow as a player through individual instruction and team interaction. Campers have the opportunity to be guided by current Stony Brook Women’s Basketball players and coaches. The camp is geared towards girls ages 8-15 and will be held in the Arena on Stony Brook’s campus from June 29-July 2. The price is $250 per camper however there is a 10 percent Stony Brook Employee discount. 5. Group Fitness Class Summer Schedule
The Campus Recreation Group Fitness schedule is now available at www.recreation.sunysb.edu . Classes that are being offered include Total Body, Kripalu Yoga, Core Conditioning, Spinning, Cross Training, Reiki and Pilates. All classes are free for undergraduate students. Graduate Students, Faculty & Staff must purchase punch cards to participate. Group Fitness punch cards for the summer are now available for purchase at the Wellness Office located in the Student Activities Center, Room 225. There are three card options for purchase: Unlimited Summer Classes for $40.00, 10 Summer Classes for $30.00, and 4 Summer Classes for $16.00. 5. Volunteers Needed for a Gastrointestinal Symptoms Study!
We are seeking patients diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease or Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
We are conducting a study to gather detailed information about how life experiences impact gastrointestinal symptoms.
What you can do to help:
To qualify you should be diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis or Irritable Bowel Syndrome. You must be able to come to the research office at Stony Brook 1 time for a 3 hour period and be available for 2 telephone interviews following your study visit. Scheduling will be done at convenient times for you.

4. Camp Seawolf
Professional Education Program’s- Outreach Division offers a one-week, residential environmental education summer camp for boys and girls ages 12-14 held at BSA Schiff Scout Reservation located at 1606 Manorville Road, Wading River, NY 11792 sponsored by a NYS Department of Environmental Conservation and Suffolk County Parks. The curriculum centers on the environment of Long Island, with special emphasis on the marine coastal environment. Campers experience hands-on, field oriented stewardship projects that instill a lasting stewardship ethic and enrich their understanding and need to become stewards of our natural resources. Scholarships through Social Service agencies are available to Suffolk County residents who qualify!
