2. Summer Sessions Registration Is Ongoing

Registration for Summer Sessions classes is ongoing until the
Friday before each session begins. Because students can also
register for fall classes at this time, it is easy to coordinate
their summer and fall class schedules. Often students - both
Stony Brook and visiting students - who are unable to take a fall
semester class find they can take the course during Summer
Sessions instead.

5. SUNY VIRTUAL JOB FAIR

Beginning March 15 and running through May 31, The Career Center
is sponsoring an online or virtual job fair focused on New York
State employers. The program which is a joint effort among a
group of New York State colleges and universities currently has
over 250 organizations participating and over 700 jobs
posted. (More will join over the next several weeks). This
includes employers from all parts of New York state including
small and large businesses of all types, government agencies, and
private not-for-profits.

Students and alumni can search for organizations based on career
interests and geographic location, as well as post and submit
resumes online. Candidates can also register to win a lap top
computer.

The NY Colleges and Universities Virtual Job Fair can be accessed

6. The Institute for Medicine in Contemprary Society presents:
HOPE & GLORY: A Musical History of War

Thursday, May 24th, 2001, 4 pm
HSC, Level 2, Lecture Hall 1

Hope & Glory is an original theatrical musical built upon the
premise that Walt Whitman's timeless poetry and prose reflect the
dreams, fears, hope, and glory of war hawks and doves of every
generation. In this concert version of musical highlights, the
ghosts of war (from the Revolutionary War through Desert Storm)
speak and sing in words and music adapted from and inspired by

8. Summer Camp at Stony Brook
June 25 - August 17, 2001

The Summer Camp at Stony Brook is back for its second exciting
year. The camp combines a unique twist of educational activities
and athletics for children between the ages of 5 to 12. Tuition
includes provision of a camp T-shirt, as well as a hot lunch and

9. Panel Discussion about Teaching at Stony Brook

On Wednesday, May 9 at 4 p.m. in the CELT center (Library E1337),
the Council of Distinguished Teaching Professors and CELT will
host a reception for this years recipients of the Presidents
Award for Excellence in Teaching by a Graduate Student. Award
recipients will take part in a panel discussion on teaching at
Stony Brook. All members of the University community are invited
to join in honoring their achievement. Refreshments will be
served.

BHARATHANATYAM (INDIAN CLASSICAL DANCE) Sri Krishnamasraye
(Episodes from the life of Krishna)

Bharathanatyam will be performed by Padma Bhushan Kamala Narayan
and her students on May 12, 2001 at 4:00 in the Students Union
Auditorium. Padma Bhushan is the highest honor bestowed on an
artist by the president of India. She is a highly acclaimed
exponent of Bharatha, a classical dance form from southern India.

Human Resource Services is pleased to announce a NEW CJO feature,
the "Send Job Posting to Friend".

This NEW feature is located at the bottom of each CJO posting.
To use this feature, simply type in a friend's email address,
