7. Travel Tip

Renting a car vs. mileage reimbursement

Did you know that for a trip to Albany is it approximately 50%
cheaper to rent a car from the State contracted agency,
Enterprise Rent a Car, than to use your personal car and look for
mileage re-imbursement. Similar savings would apply to most any
business travel destination. The Stony Brook University account
number with Enterprise is "JN0645".

17. Access to HSC Library Electronic Resources

Beginning September 24, 2001, both on campus and off campus
access to all web-based licensed databases, electronic books, and
electronic journals offered by the Health Sciences Center Library
will require proper user authentication. Such policies are
required as the cost of access to electronic information
resources continues to increase at a rate that makes it essential
for the Health Sciences Center Library staff to know relative use
of these materials over time. Usage is one of the major factors
in the decision to retain or discontinue the license for each
resource. For more information, see
