7. EAP Lunchtime Learning-Understanding Adolescence Guest Speaker, Carol Carter is co-founder of Sunshine Prevention Center for Youth & Families

Preadolescence and adolescence can be challenging a time for both the child and the parent. The changes can be both confusing and draining. It is extremely important for parents to receive support, guidance and education during this time. While there are typical stages that a teen goes through, each is a unique individual and behaviors are not always predictable. Parents need to learn new strategies and techniques for dealing with these changes. They need to have a clearer understanding of adolescence which makes this also a very rewarding experience for all.
