4. Large Zome Construction of a Four-Dimensional Model

Students, faculty, and staff of the Stony Brook community are invited to come and participate in the assembly of a large construction made from thousands of small plastic parts. I plan for us to make a three-dimensional shadow of a four-dimensional object sometimes known as the canti-truncated 600-cell. But you don't have to understand that in order to help assemble it or see how beautiful it is. I'll give you instructions as we go along.
We will start assembly in the SACC Lobby at 10:00 AM Monday March 28. I expect it may take about three hours with dozens of people working together. The plan is to leave it on display for a couple of hours and then start disassembling it at 3:00PM. So come any time you are available.
