Instructions on how to Access Class Search Information without logging into the SOLAR System.
  1. You can access Class Search when you are in the SOLAR System Information page: www.stonybrook.edu/solarsystem.
  2. Then click the small LOGIN button directly below these instructions. DO NOT use the LARGE LOGIN button to the left of these instructions.
  3. When you click the small LOGIN button at the end of these instructions, it will take you to the Class Search panel.
  4. To then select a Term on the panel, click the search icon Search. Click for Screen Shot It will take you into the Look Up Term Panel. Hit the Lookup button.
  5. The Search results will list the most recent term first. (A maximum of four terms will appear).
  6. Select from "Look Up Term" panel, the term of your choice (double click) Click for Screen Shot
  7. Then use the Tab key to tab to the career level desired. Select from a Course Career (Grad, Undergrad, Dental, Medical).
  8. You then have the option to select to do a Basic Search (with limited fields) or an Advanced Search (additional fields).Click for Screen Shot
  9. Basic Search Panel & Advanced Search - Use Drop down arrows as desired in your search.
  10. Limit your search. Select at least two criteria in your search.
  11. Then hit the SEARCH button at the bottom of the page.
  12. Advanced Search has additional fields to search by. Click for Screen Shot

Use the LOGIN button below to go to the Class Search panel.
    *Use Advanced Search to narrow your search using times and locations, etc...

Instructions on how to Access Course Catalog Search Information without logging into the SOLAR System.
  1. You can access Course Catalog Search when you are in the SOLAR System Information page: www.stonybrook.edu/solarsystem.
  2. Then click the small LOGIN button directly below these instructions. DO NOT use the LARGE LOGIN button to the left of these instructions.
  3. When you click the small LOGIN button at the end of these instructions, it will take you to the Course Catalog Search panel.
  4. THEN, Select a Subject by clicking on the Search search icon.
  5. On the next screen, click Lookup to find a Subject.
  6. Click on the Subject of your choice (i.e. CHE, PSY, AMS).
  7. Once your select your subject, you have the option of entering a specific course number (i.e. CHE 131, 132).
  8. Click Search for your results. If you do not enter a specific course number, you will retrive a list of courses in your search.

Use the LOGIN button below to go to the Course Catalog Search panel.
