Please login to the SOLAR System, Stony Brook's on-line information system, and:

A) Click on "New Student Deposits/Orientation Fee" under Student Financial Services to pay your New Student Deposits and/or Orientation Fee online.

B) Click on "New Student Preferences" under New Student to tell us your New Student Preferences.
1) Freshmen: Undergraduate College Preferences (required): you must submit your preferences for Undergraduate Colleges in order to receive your orientation date and register for classes. Once you have been placed in an Undergraduate College, you will be contacted with your summer orientation date.

Transfers: Living Learning Center Preferences (optional): you may submit your preferences for the Living Learning Center program..

2) Campus Housing Preferences (required, along with the $300 tuition/campus housing deposit, if you plan to live on campus): Campus Housing is guaranteed, provided we receive the $300 tuition/campus housing deposit and campus housing preferences by the deadline noted in your Admissions Packet; After this deadline, housing will be assigned on a space-available basis.

3) Meal Plan Preferences (required of all new students living on campus)

C) Click on "My Financial Aid Awards" under the Student Financial Services section to accept/decline your awards online.
