2008-2009The Soroff Family Israel Fellowship was established to honor Dr. Harry Soroff, Professor of Surgery in the School of Medicine, and his parents Nathaniel and
Fannie Soroff
Sarah will work on the Stony Brook campus to recruit students to participate in Israel travel and study programs and will work with other students to plan Israel-related cultural and educational activities. The Fellow will spend approximately five hours per week during the academic year on these projects. Sarah will also have the opportunity to participate in meetings and conferences designed for those engaged in Israel programming on college campuses. Sarah will receive a monetary stipend for each semester of the Fellowship.
Qualifications:
Candidates must be full time matriculating undergraduate students at Stony Brook University who have visited Israel at least once on a travel or study program.
Candidates must have a satisfactory grade point average.
Applications will be accepted in the spring of 2008 for the coming year, and thus are only available to students who will be at Stony Brook for the entire 2008-2009 academic year.
If you are interested in Israel programming on campus, in promoting Israeli culture, and in advocating that other students visit Israel then you should apply for this unique program.

The Collegiate Leadership Internship Program (CLIP)
is a competitive paid summer internship experience for students from or attending school in New York. Participants develop effective leadership skills, expand their professional horizons and learn about the dynamic nature of the organized Jewish community on campus and in New York. CLIP interns are placed in a variety of fields (including business, finance, law, Jewish sector service, nonprofit management, and more!). The deadline for application materials is early spring.
