All Right to Know classes precede all Sexual Harassment Prevention classes.
Environmental Health and Safety promotes safety and environmental stewardship through the development and implementation of a variety of environmental, health and safety programs. Everyone at Stony Brook University is responsible for the safety and also for the environment. Supervisors and Principal Investigators are responsible for conducting hazard assessments, establishing safe procedures in their work areas and ensuring each new employee, whether temporary or permanent, receives appropriate safety training at the start of employment. Supervisors and Principal Investigators are also responsible for ensuring that all of their employees receive the necessary safety training based on the work their employees perform.
Staff and students are responsible for learning about and implementing safe working procedures and promptly reporting unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
